Regarding the news, “Dating with a female employee at midnight? It was told a male officer of Army Aviation and Special Forces Command abandoned his duty for 40 minutes,” The Army Command claimed today (14th), according to the record of the monitor provided by Army Aviation and Special Forces Command, Officer Chang kept his post and did not leave his duty without any evidence of abandoning his duty, and the vehicles of both parties had not been found in the barracks. Thus, the report was a pure conjecture. The Ministry received the call of inquiry from the reporter Huang at 16.30 pm, and informed that “the report did not jibe with the fact”; however, the media still misused it partially and reported it as the breaking news. The Ministry expressed its solemn protest and urged the media to fulfill the responsibility of being the public instrument to prevent confusion and the damage of military reputation.
